“How much does valet parking cost?” is one of the first questions we hear from anyone planning an event or running a hotel, restaurant, or healthcare facility. The honest answer is that it depends — but not in a vague way. A handful of clear factors determine the price, and once you know them, getting an accurate number is quick.
What Drives the Cost
Service type. A one-night wedding has very different staffing needs than a hotel that needs valet coverage every day of the year. Event valet is typically priced as a flat rate based on attendants and hours; ongoing hotel, restaurant, and healthcare valet is priced around expected volume and shift coverage.
Event size and guest count. More vehicles means more attendants needed to keep wait times low. A 50-guest dinner and a 500-guest gala require very different crews.
Duration. Pricing is generally structured around attendant-hours, so a two-hour cocktail reception costs less than an eight-hour wedding reception.
Arrival and departure window. A tight window — everyone arriving in the same 20 minutes, or all leaving right after a ceremony — needs more attendants working at once to avoid a backup, even if the total guest count is small. A slower, staggered arrival spreads that same work over more time and needs fewer hands.
Distance to parking. The farther attendants have to walk or drive to park and retrieve vehicles, the more time each trip takes — which affects how many attendants are needed to keep wait times reasonable. Venue layout (number of entrances, whether the lot requires stacking or off-site parking) factors in the same way.

For weddings, corporate events, galas, and private parties, event valet is quoted as a flat rate that scales with your guest count and car volume. Smaller gatherings (up to about 25 guests) typically start around $345, with pricing rising as more attendants are added for larger events — private event pricing includes a 5-hour minimum, and every valet is uniformed and fully insured.
