NHL First!
On February 24th, emergency goalie, David Ayres made his National Hockey Leauge debut for the Carolina Hurricanes. That night, both the starter and backup goalies had to leave the game due to injuries. During the 2nd period, David Ayres was called into action! Unfortunately, he allowed two out of the first three shots he faced but stopped the next seven! The Hurricanes beat the Toronto Maple Leafs the game 6-3 and David Aryes became the oldest goaltender (42 years, 194 days) in league history to win his regular-season debut. Although he played for the Hurricanes that night, Ayres works with the Maple Leafs' minor league team, the Toronto Marlies as their Zamboni driver! Quickly after his first win, you could find his shirt on Carolina's team shop website for $28. Aryes will receive royalties from all sales and a portion of proceeds will go to a kidney foundation. Employee of the Month
Andrew Sucato is February's employee of the month! In his first 3 months, Andrew has gone above and beyond! Wherever we have put him or asked of him, he has always exceeded expectations. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time outdoors with his German Shepherd-Husky named Blue. Andrew is planning on continuing his education in the near future to pursue a Bachelor's degree in business. He is also currently enrolled in the Army Reserved as well! Thank you Andrew for your service and hard work! When you see him, please make sure to tell him thank you and congratulations!
March's employee of the month is Ryan Lambert! He has been a part of our team for over a year now and has been a top-notch employee! While balancing a full workload, he is currently pursuing an associate's degree at Glendale Community College. Working for Epic Valet has helped grow his love for cars. Some day, Ryan hopes to stay in the car industry by owning his own car dealership. Thank you Ryan for all of your hard work! The next time you see him, please congratulate him!
